This past week, I was hired to created handmade Thank You cards for my customer's daughter's birthday party. She wanted custom cards to go inside of her party favor bags for the kids. The colors and bee character on the cards made them a great choice for the kids.    The front of the cards contain a "Thank you for coming to my Birthday party" message.  The date of your child's party will be printed below the message. Hi Everyone, Communities in Schools is an organization that helps at-risk youth, and keeps them from dropping out of school. Ruthie's Greetings, LLC exists because of the programs and support provided by Communities In Schools. When I was in high school and college, I was a participant in two of their programs, Studioworks and Artsworks. After graduating from college, I came back to work directly in the CISNJ office as a Senior Apprentice Artists and assisted in helping them make a difference in other student's lives as they had in mine. I am now a member of the Advisory Board of Communities In Schools of NJ and the owner of my own business Ruthie's Greetings, LLC. Happy Friday everyone! I created the "Thinking of You Daddy" custom card for my customer's daughter to give to her father. My customer did not have a specific design or concept in mind, so I decided to use a picture of her daughter as my inspiration for the card. The little girl's beads, letters, glasses, and tie are all outlined with metallic gold pen paint. 

"Love Given, Felt Hearts "handmade  R.G. Anniversary Cartoon Card Happy New Year everyone! The "Love Given" design was originally created in 2006, and  inspired by the old cartoons of the 1920's and 1930's. Because I loved the design so much, I decided to revisit it for a card. The design was printed on the computer, and then hand drawn and decorated. The hearts are made with felt material. I rarely use felt material in my designs, but I love the effect of them. This card is a mini-card on quality paper; it measures 3 1/2 in x 4 7/8  with matching envelope.  The inside of the card says, "Love is definitely a blessing.
