  "Valentine's Day Giraffe" Handmade Card  I was hired to create the card for Valentine's Day this year. I really enjoyed creating this one. It was for a 2 year old and her mom, to the baby's grandmother. I previously created a birthday card using giraffe's. I like it, so I thought it would be cool to use the giraffe's for this card. ibbons, Ribbons, & more Ribbons for Ruthie's Greetings! I think I'm addicted to buying ribbons lol. Every time I see a cute color or design on them, I buy a roll lol. I like to use them on my handmade cards, especially around the edges.                                                                                   

"Mother's Day Rose" Handmade Card Ok, so Mother's Day passed quite a while ago lol. But I did not get a chance to post this one. I love the way this card came out :-) I was hired by a friend to create this card for her boyfriend's mom. She did not have any specific design requests, so I was free to let my creative juices flow :-) (yay). I drew my own cut- outs and used glitter glue. I outlined the Ruthie's Greetings Character to make her stand out from the background.I used a rose embellishment. I thought that it would give the card a nice touch.  My friend's recipient loved it! "Old Style First Birthday" Handmade Card I was hired to create this card for a friend's nephew. I love the colors because it gives the card a "back in the day" look :-)

"Valentine Flowers" Cherry and Banana Ed. Eventhough it is August lol, I just wanted to highlight this card. My customer wanted a pretty card for her Grandma. I decided to create this card using scrapbook paper. I used a ruler to tear the paper as easily as possible. I also love to use buttons. So I really enjoyed creating this card. My customer's grandmother loved it. We  previously created this card a couple of years ago, and I liked the design. "Flowers for My Flower" This card was created for a former co-worker to give to our supervisor. I had previously created this card using blue, green, yellow, and orange. So I decided to use these colors. I used adhesive foam strips to make the vase and "thank you" sign stick out from the card.

"Our Love Jersey" This card was fun to create. My customer wanted a red black/white or silver card that said "I Love You".  He already received a red, black, and silver card so I figured the white would be best. I decided to use a stamp for the background of the red paper. My customer wanted a long poem. So, we decided to have a team jersey with her and her beau's name. I actually ended up using white out for the white on the jersey. I made a mistake on the white. I was going to outline the  black letters on the jersey with white.  But I liked the white out. The spongy surface of the brush made a nice design. So I decided to stick with it.But, I think I will use acrylic paint next time. "My Brother's Birthday" Handmade Card http://www.ruthiesgreetings.com/birthday_2 Here is another origami shirt card that I made for my brother. I used a rubber stamp for the background. He loved it!

"Blue Bell Dress" (Birthday) Cards http://www.ruthiesgreetings.com/birthday_2 I was hired to make this card for a friend of a friend who was turning 25 years old. Her favorite color was blue. I chose this design because it was something that was elegant and age appropriate. I used a bluish purple textured card stock for the dress. I think the pattern on the ribbon and the rose is just enough against the plain blue background. This dress pattern has become one of the signature patterns for Ruthie's Greetings .
