African-American Birthday Card for Men: "God-fearing Birthday Man" birthday card Happy Friday, everyone! I have added a new men's birthday card to the Ruthie's Greetings Etsy shop. It's called "God-Fearing Birthday Man" card. The card features a printed version of one of my original faceless drawings. The man on the front is brown skin with a short black 'fro. He is wearing a white shirt with a turquoise collar and  a white, orange, and yellow polka tie. He is inside of a soft-edged navy blue box. Above the box are navy blue and yellow polka dots to keep the handmade feel of the card. Below the man are the words above. Christian "Rejoice" card by Ruthie's Greetings Happy Monday everyone, The Christian "Rejoice" 2-pack of cards are now in my Etsy shop for purchase. These cards were designed with a rubber stamp, permanent marker, and metallic ink. I created these cards to give to someone to uplift them. Sometimes we just need to be reminded that God is in control. Every day is a blessing, and we have permission to enjoy it in Psalm 118:24. I will be adding more items to my shop this week. Dear Ruthie's Greeting Blog Readers, Over the last three years of creating cards, the Lord has shown me that I can do more than I could ever imagine, through Him. Philippians 2"3 says, "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves". This bible verse was one of the bible verses that was highlighted in Bible Study this week. I carry that in my heart as a reminder that God is in control. I am not. There are times where I have no idea how a design is going to come out, but the customer is always pleased. I know that is God :-) This blog post is just to give credit to the one above. I thank Him for giving me the gift of making cards. It is not only a business, but a chance to display the wonderful works of the Lord. It's funny to see the hustle and bustle of everyday life, here in the U.S. We have become a society that is always on the go. We check our cellphones, our clocks, and our pace. But,Thanksgiving is a time where we stop and check our blessings :-) I like to thank God for mine everyday.                                                    I am thankful for each and everyday that I was allowed the chance to wake up. I am thankful for growth. I'm thankful for those Thanksgiving Eves that my grandmother "Ruth" stayed up making pies and cakes for the feast the next day.
