Ruthie's Greetings

This card was definately different for me. It was a lot of fun to create! "Bumblebee Birthday" Handmade Birthday Card from a distance "Bumblebee Birthday" Handmade Birthday Card This design was actually requested by my customer. She wanted the card for a fellow teacher whose classroom had a Bumblebee theme. She wanted Bumblebees, buzzing around flowers in the front. She wanted bees flying around on the inside with her special personalized message. The bees   actually standout from the background. Their wings are a iridescent white. They shimmer and turn colors when the light hits them. We can create your custom card at http://www.ruthiesgreetings.com/ !

"Church Christmas" handmade Card I created this card for my customer's pastor. The silver sections on the windows and cross are metallic silver. The bible verse that I chose for this card was Matthew 1:21 "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins". "Mama's Present" handmade Christmas card Here is the  completed "Mama's Present" Ruthie's Greetings Character Card. It has the Matthew 2:11 verse at the bottom which says, "And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, ad worshipped him: and when they had opened there treasures, they presented unto him gifts;gold, and frankincense, and myrrh".  I really enjoyed  creating this card. It brings us back to the reason why we celebrate Christmas. Through the years, the Christmas holiday has become sooo commercial that many of us have forgotten why we celebrate it. I wrote a blog post, a few posts ago about how Christmas colors became Christmas Colors . The article cited in my post talks about red, green, yellow, silver/white. Now, I have noticed that the colors of pink and other colors have been used for decorations. This is one of  the results of the Christmas holiday has become more com...

It's funny to see the hustle and bustle of everyday life, here in the U.S. We have become a society that is always on the go. We check our cellphones, our clocks, and our pace. But,Thanksgiving is a time where we stop and check our blessings :-) I like to thank God for mine everyday.                                                    I am thankful for each and everyday that I was allowed the chance to wake up. I am thankful for growth. I'm thankful for those Thanksgiving Eves that my grandmother "Ruth" stayed up making pies and cakes for the feast the next day. I am thankful for God providing me with  creative outlets  (Ruthie's Greetings & writing) to express myself. I am thankful for the smiles that I receive. I...

"My Superstar Student" Handmade Card http://www.ruthiesgreetings.com/ "My Superstar Student" Card Inside:"Dear ________, Your grades prove that you can do anything when you focus and work hard. I am (We are) very proud of you"   *Bible Verses at the inside bottom are optional: Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me". * When I was a child, I struggled with the learning disability dyslexia. Dyslexia causes you to see your letters and numbers backwards. For example, I would confuse the letter "p" for the letter "q". However, I had my grandmother "Ruthie" and a few teachers that continued to support and encourage me. I am very greatful for that. So, I have began creating a "Back to School' line of cards that will encourage your child to go above and beyond the norm in class. My handmade school cards will show your child that you love and believe in their abilit...
